Usually, high concentration of flame retardant and other additives are added to the polypropylene chips first, then the flame retardant masterbatch is manufactured by blending, and then the polypropylene fibers with flame retardancy are prepared by melt spinning with conventional polypropylene chip fibers. Phosphorus bromine synergistic flame retardant system has good flame retardant effect on polypropylene fiber, and environmental pollution is small, while phosphorus nitrogen synergistic flame retardant system has better flame retardant effect on polypropylene fiber, but the application conditions in polypropylene fiber are relatively high.
